Sensei Kamran Zamanian, Ph.D. is a 3rd degree black belt with certification from Japan Karate Association (JKA) and World Kobudo Federation; and more than 20 years experience in the field of martial arts. He has studied, researched, coached and competed in martial arts in Europe, North and South America, and is the founder of One World Karate with its headquarters in Vancouver, Canada.

Dr. Zamanian received his 1st degree black belt in 1986 from Masatoshi Nakayama (10th Dan), the founder of JKA and the successor to the father of modern Karate, Gichin Funakushi. He also studied martial arts with many internationally respected instructors such as Keinosuke Enoeda (9th Dan), Edward Welsh (7th Dan), Robert Rhodes (7th Dan), William Higgins (7th Dan) and Cezar Borkowski (9th Dan).

Associate Instructors

There are a number of associate instructors who assist in teaching various classes at One World Karate. They come with complementary experience to enhance the spirit of unity in diversity and are involved in guiding the practitioners through the programs at One World Karate.
