Students

Students at One World Karate come from a diverse range of backgrounds and interests. There are those who have practiced martial arts for years, and also those who have never stepped into a karate class. The multi-grade practice methodology of classes allow students to grow and excel at their own pace, and yet utilize the structured curriculum offered by the instructors. Since the students are encouraged to ask questions and strive to understand the purpose of every technique through Bunkai (application training), they are able to put into practice what they learn from their very first class.

The students study one of the most celebrated and widespread forms of Karate (Shotokan Karate is practiced in thousands of localities in Canada and around the world) which forms the basis of their future added skills gleaned from Taekwon-do, Aiki-do, Ju-jitsu, Kickboxing and Kobudo, also taught at One World Karate. One of the greatest advantages of studying at One World Karate is that the students can transfer those skills and learnings to anywhere else in Canada and around the world and do not have to give up their learned style to study a different method should they relocate for work or study.
